SubjectHelp on Casio E-125 new Reply to this message

I unzipped MameBoy and then copied the directory structure to my E-125. I then placed a ROM (dkong.zip) in the ROM directory.

When I started the exe the list was empty for "All Clones" (whatever that means) so I changed the view to "All Games" and tried selecting Donkey Kong but nothing happened. Any ideas? Do I need to zip it with a specific zip utility or version of WinZip? The ROM is extremely old from the original days of MAME32.

The Readme just said to put the zipped ROM in the ROM directory and did not say to unzip it so I assume the exe has its own decompression capabilities to save storage memory.

Thanks for any help

Make sure you copied the files correctly. MAMEboy.exe should be in the folder

\program files\mameboy\mameboy.exe

or

\storage card\mameboy\mameboy.exe

roms should be in

\program files\mameboy\roms\dkong.zip

or

\storage card\mameboy\roms\dkong.zip

Hope this helps?

I had the same problem until I verified that the roms that I was using were corrupted. Download from WWW.MAME.DK I think that is the site. You will have better luck with those roms.

Good Luck,
