The 1/30 version of MAMEBoy causes an illegal exception on my E-125 when I run it. I've verified the file was copied correctly to \Storage Card\MAMEBoy. I have several roms in the ROMS sub-directory. Other than that, nothing special.

The exact error is...

Program: MAMEBoy.exe
Exception: 0x00000005
Address: 0001cf08
Fatal Application Error

FYI, all 3 copies of the .EXE included in the ZIP have this problem.

Make sure you have 15 MB of application memory free before starting it.

Executables are tested and I'm sure they work.

This was the problem. Interestingly enough, I had enough free RAM total, just not enough free program RAM allocated. The Memory control panel applet kept setting the slider back to 1/2 way, too. Once I freed up enough RAM so that the 1/2 way mark left enough RAM for MAMEBoy, the slider was set to the "high water mark", and I can run it again without problems.

Is there not a way for MAMEBoy to request enough RAM from the system when starting up? I thought the OS was supposed to dynamically allocated RAM between program and storage.

Dynamic allocation obviously doesn't work as advertised.

Maybe you need to do a soft reset. Memory can get fragmented and I think a reset kinda of sorts things out and releases allocated but unused memory.
