Yep.

Unless someone is using an old system ~300Mhz or less there is no good reason to use NRx. MAME is far better. Kawaks, Nebula & FinalBurn Alpha (not sure FBA has Neo raster effects?) are also superb choices.

NRx is a dead emu. It's absolutely pitiful that fighter kiddies still continue to basically rape its cold lifeless rotted corpse.

for a p2 @300mhz system, Kawaks is great, and i guess FBA too since it's also a quite fast emu. to have any reason to go back to NRX, you had to be using something like a p1 @166mhz.

i used to think that part of the people not wanting to upgrade when they could, is that they would need different roms for any decent emulator. but if they can get some strange bootleg of any recent kof hacked to death so it runs in a NRX hack for XP, then they can get any rom they would want, so then what's the problem? fundamentalism, that's what it looks to me.

Ofcourse it does raster effects. And should generally run very nicely on slow PC's.

Amen. But then no emulator is safe from the 1337 hax0r skillz of the general hex-editing moron these days, a sad state of affairs indeed.

Oh yeah, I was thinking of Kawaks which doesn't do Neo rasters IIRC. FBA is excellent.
