SubjectAddam's Family... Reply to this message

Hello:

I have the Adam's family pinball table with all ROM images. I have PinMAME32, Visual PinMAME and Visual Pinball all set up correctly, I believe. The ROMs all test okay, etc. I have the script files in place with the tables. Visual Pinball will render the table and allow me to interact with the ROM to insert credits and start gameplay (albeit somewhat slow). However, the flipper go dead as soon as the ball is loaded onto the launchpad and the sound is sketchy at best. Is my 1Ghz PIII just not up to par for this task? I have an nVidia Geforce 4 Ti 4600 with the latest nVidia XP driver set and DirectX 9 loaded on this XP machine. Any ideas?

A VP checklist for you -- latest versions as of this post:

Visual PinMAME - 1.31
Addam's Family - 6.7
VBS Scripts - 3.12

If you're running an older version of the table (i.e. the very old ver. 1.0 from AJ's), then I would recommend you get a more up-to-date copy of the table and see if it helps. Last I checked, 6.7 isn't available for download from anywhere these days, but if you go to vpforums and check the VP/VPM Help message board sections for threads about the Addam's Family, you'll probably find a link to a more recent version.
