SubjectOld Data East Games, among others? new Reply to this message

Many agree that most games from William's rank among the best ever made, & I totally agree.

But did anyone play some of Data East's older games like Laser War? Secret Service? Time Machine? Playboy?

And then there are a few from other companies like Gottlieb's Gold Wings, Bone Busters, Robowar, & Bally's Strange Science, Heavy Metal, etc.

What else did I miss?

Don't get me wrong - I am quite happy to see mostly William's games worked on & I hope that they are primarily worked on until most or all tables have been done. :) Keep up the good work everybody!!!

RELAX and just have fun.
Remember, it's all about the games.

Don't forget Stern, the only company left making arcade machines. :)

Admit I like them, they are getting better. Would love to see Big Game Hunter, Galaxy, and Stingway. :)

Holding out for Flash Gordon, then my life would be complete.

I remember Secret Service well... only pinball I ever maxed out the score on.
I wish the sound ROMs for it were available though... :(

Yeah I maxed it out (or turned it over by scoring higher than 9,999,999) as well. I remember there was at least 1 game that would remember your score by only the last 7 digits - meaning that if you scored for example 12,105,930 then your score was remembered as only 2,105,930 & you probably wouldn't get a high score spot. :) Was that Secret Service?

Probably. Although it didn't bother me too much, as I would have at least two free games through replays... a few more for getting a high score would soon become a bit boring. But still, lots of fun in getting that much at least. I would sometimes give away the last one or two credits. Ah, the memories... :)

Yeah I didn't need all those extra free games either. I remember sometimes making a profit by selling some of my credits. :) And then yes, walking away from the games & letting some absolutely thrilled kid play 10 credits or whatever it was. :)
