why are the flipper sounds so much louder than emulated sound. kinds ruins the fun. is there a way around it?

After you start the pinball game, press F1, uncheck Use Samples, click OK, close the table (to return to the editor), then restart the table. That should get rid of the flipper sounds altogether.

that didn't seem to work...and other tables don't have that "problem"...

The DCS games are a lot lower (volume-wise) than the others. Do this: Start the game, then use the 8 and 9 keys to adjust the volume. Set it to 28 (no higher or you'll get static) and it'll sound right.

FYI - DCS games probably ran sound through a large amplifier, and thus can be set very low volume on the real machines..
