Just to let all those that don't read the Visual Pinball forum know... my TotAN site is up at http://www.emucircus.co.uk/pinball/index.htm It'll cover all the latest WIP stuff as well as releases as and when they become available. Oh, and give me some time to get it right; it's my first table!

That's all...

One question: How do you plan on implementing the spinning lamp? AFAIK with the current Visual Pinball program, it would be impossible to simulate it properly...

Think of how many tables could be complete with that spinning object feature. World Cup '94 and Nags come to mind. Still, couldn't the same technique that opens the vault in TAF be implemented (albiet at high speed) to simulate a spinning object?

Not in this case.. The TOTAN lamp is a free-moving object.. you hit the posts with balls and the lamp spins depending on the speed and angle that you hit it. The TAF models are single-use, single-direction objects that have their own movement script. It's impossible in the current VP to read information on how hard a ball strikes an object and at what angle, to properly calculate the resulting spin. Also, the lamp spins very fast when hit hard.. which VP would have difficulty recreating using the create/destroy trick TAF uses.

By the time I get round to actually finishing the table, VP will have full rotational support, transparent ramps, and the ability to build the table in your bedroom on a molecular level...
