Thing goes.....

I saw on AJ's site a plink to black knight 2k and a romset. This led to my assumtion that Black Knight has a VirPinMame version....is it true?cos i downloaded the romset beta4 table and s11 script and i can play the 'normal' version.allso when i start the rom in PinMame i can't start a game..pinball missing ?..

hit me back with answers and solutions :)

Respect.

That BK2K is not a VPinMame table.. it's a recreated table in Visual Pinball. In other words, it doesn't use PinMame for emulation or anything.. it uses it's own ruleset. It shouldn't be in the list of VPinMame tables on that site.. oversight I guess.

The fact you can't get it going in Pinmame is a perfect example of why the basic PinMame isn't a lot of use to non-pinheads. It gives a "Pinball Missing" error because the game thinks there are no balls installed.. because the 3 ball trough switches are open. To even start a game, you need to manually toggle the 3 ball trough switches closed (by looking up the switch matrix location in the manual and pressing the appropriate key combination), then press start, then open the #3 trough switch and then close the shooter lane switch (otherwise the game thinks the ball trough is jammed if it doesn't see what it wants).

Some of the PinMame games have a verybasic simulator that automates a bit of this for you, but BK2K isn't one of them.
