SubjectCue Ball Wizard in Microsoft Pinball Arcade :( Reply to this message

Hey, I just got into pinball emulation, and while I'm primarily a video game player, I did play a number of machines that were at my local college bar. One of these was Cue Ball Wizard. My friends I played this to death. I was pumped to see that Microft has this table emulated in their Microsfot Pinball Arcade package.

It intially wowed me and brought back tons of memories, however, I'm now severely disappointed in it. Mostly because the flipper physics seem so off as to make hitting the main ramp on the table incredibly hard. This ramp is the trigger for all sorts of stuff to happen, like mini games on the score window, and other stuff, so I have yet to see any of these games that I remember. I would hardly consider the table playable because of this.

Anyway, to make a long post short, does anyone know if despite being simulated by microsoft, if there are plans for a visual pinball version? I can imagine it being extra diffucult to create due to the big cue ball that rolls around in the center of the table.

Anyone else play MS's version of this table? If so, what was your take on it?

Never heard of any attempt to create this table. Yes the cue ball would be a challenge unless the next VP version supports changing the size of a pinball. Then it might be doable. Also it's a Gottlieb game (Gottlieb sucks!!!) :) so the driver would have to be written & added to VPinMAME.

I don't have that much of a problem with the main ramp. Though I agree that the physics of MS Pinball Arcade flippers are questionable at best. Still fun though.

Can you please offer any help on how to hit that ramp?
