For VP and VPinMame uses the graphics from existing photos (top views)of the pinball table.
The difference is VPinMame uses the rom (data extracted and unscrambled from the actual pinball machines's rom chip). The roms control the lights, score displays, activations of balls, etc. So the VPinmame game should function the same as the real machine except it will vary slightly depending on how accurate the elements (bumpers, ramps,etc.) are placed and sized in proportion to the table. Also, the speed of the ball, flipper strength and bumper strength will vary between the two.
