How does the gamplay, ball physics etc of the new emus/soms compare to that of Pro Pinball series for example. I love those, will I have as much fun with our latest toys?

I have all the files on my HD...just no time to set it all up yet....and I wanna knoooooow :))

Well, VP/VPinMAME isn't nearly as pretty as the Pro Pinball series, but the physics are pretty well there, and the fact that it all works together to allow anyone to create a recreation/emulation of a classic pinball table gives it unlimited potential to be even better than the Pro Pinball games in terms of variety. Besides, VP and VPinMAME are still in development. I'm sure we'll eventually see all the great toys - environment mapping, specular effects/lens flares, etc. Give it time... it'll get there. :-)

Yeah, graphically it's not quite up to par with the top PC Pinball games, but it is better than some retail games. It's still got a few quirks too to work out, including the little problem I often have with balls going right through the flippers sometimes. I'm sure it'll all be worked out soon enough though.
