I think the old boards used to be WWWBoards, a.k.a. MattBoards. WWWBoards is cheap, easy to use, and requires no registration, which makes it completely open to attacks and user spoofs (it shows IPs, but that's all). Some lamers with nothing better do to can seriously fuck up your day on a MattBoard. Hence the WWWThreads.

Then we are better off with this. :-)

I think WWWthreads has a cost though, so they may want to use it as long as possible to justify the investment. I won't complain, as many problems as may exist, I'm used to these. :-)
