The MS bashing refers to some previous news posts Chris made, oh, about a couple months ago, where the basic gist was "Linux updated, M$ sux0r, Linux 0wnz j00." You might not have seen them. Besides, kernel posts are OK IMO, because that's the core of the Linux OS. If there's a critical Windows patch, I wouldn't mind hearing about it either for the same reason.
