I have a Logitech optical wheel mouse here (the kinda with the little ir light to detect movement.) Anway, it keeps going crazy and moving the cursor to the bottom left and some times top right of my screen. It seems to be random and i'm not sure when it started, but i haven't been using a mouse pad recently (mine got trashed) so i' sliding it along my flat desk surface. I'm wondering if maybe particles on the desk are shooting it in odd directions? Possible software problem? i don't have any spyware installed so... anyway here's some more info
its a usb mouse connected to a ps2 converter, put into a KVM out to my pc. The connections seem secure and the mouse operates as norma besides this. It seems to only shoot on when i'm moving it. I'm runing windows xp, latest updates, default windows mouse driver, and no background apps seem to be running (it happens in every app) that would affect it... any help is appreciated.
