I can't seem to get totally smooth performance on games. In particular, Morrowind and Lineage II. It runs pretty well, but when I use the mouse look to look around, it's not too smooth. There's also the occasional hiccup. I though a Radeon 9800 Pro 256 would be able to handle all this shit at 1024x768 with full detail no problem. At first I thought it was that I didn't have enough ram and it was using virtual memory, which was UT2004's problem. So I got another stick of 512 meg. It didn't really help much. I can't figure out what it is. The processor seems good enough, Athlon XP 2500+. So... is it the videocard that can't handle it?

Some selfish bad to the bone guy want to :P shit on my face. lolol just joke nt - Dany

Well, I do know that those games are pretty demanding graphically, but I would agree with you that your card should be more than enough to handle them at 1024x768. How big of a "hiccup" are we talking here? if it's massive slowdown, I would say you probably have a driver problem or something, but if it's just not ultra smooth, I wouldn't worry about it, even on high end hardware, graphics-intensive games are bound to hiccup now and then. Then again, I am fairly tolerant framerate-wise, you may lean otherwise. I would check your driver version/any driver documentation to see if it mentions these titles specifically. Also, I know certain titles have problems/don't perform as well with ATI cards (diff. architecture), this may be one of them, I would check online for a patch. Well, I hope this helps you.
