Hey guys, I'm not sure what the go is with my monitor. Most likely it’s on the way out, but maybe you guys have another idea. Anywho, the story...

The other day I turned my computer on and it was working fine. Soon after loading into Win2000 I noticed on my monitor that a small transparent white line spanning horizontally across the bottom of the screen was moving up and down a bit. I thought it was a tad weird but thought nothing of it, used it for a few hours and shut it down as usual before going to sleep.

The next day I booted my computer up again and soon after loading the screen began to shrink and expand (only a very tiny bit), which made it look a little shaky, and was kind of distracting when trying to work. Since then, turning the computer on and waiting a little while results in a slightly jumpy screen with a few flickering lines through it here and there.

I have tried several things, including mucking with the refresh rates, colour, resolution and even the monitor controls. It doesn't seem to affect it.

However, I have noticed that:
--If I turn the computer on for a while in the morning, turn it off, and then come back in the afternoon it works as normal...
--By shutting down the computer and then taking the lead out of the back of my video card and plugging it back in seems to make the monitor work as normal, until turning it off and coming back the next day... then the problem returns...

Just wondering if what you guys think. Is it the monitor as I suspect, or maybe some interference (though nothing on my computer has changed, nor has it been moved since this started happening), or could it even be my video card?
