It was working half speed due inner 40-wire architecture and gave it to my bro :)
I also have a Hitachi-LG DVD-RAM 8X +-R, 4X +-RW, 2,4X +R DL, model "HL-DT-STDVDRAM GSA-4120B", ATA-33/UDMA-2, firmware v.A102
I'm interested in reading subchannel data,I remember some say Toshiba DVD working good... Does new LG do the same, as they said in their home page?

i recommend the pioneer 120s slot dvd.

very fast and very reliable, runs almost silectly and is easily patched to region free, very reasonably priced about 20-25 and looks cool
