I don't get it, why don't you upgrade to a dual-output video card, that can set seperate RAMDAC scan freqs for both outputs, like most modern ATI cards? (Dunno if NV cards can too, probably some can, but I know that my ATI does for a fact.) Especially considering the price of those standalone VGA-to-NTSC scan-converters, although I surmise you already own one.
