Theoretically, yes. However, there is a school of thought that says that a software firewall isn't a real firewall, since it allows the unwanted traffic into your computer before blocking it, whereas a hardware firewall stops it before it touches your computer (kinda like stopping a burglar on your front porch, instead of keeping him off your property in the first place).
Also, I've heard some unflattering things about ZA lately, so there's that, too (not that I can recommend a better one).
