If one has some ECC DDR memory and installs them in an motherboard that does not support ECC will it 1.) fry? 2.) work? 3.) require further investigation.

Nonetheless, I'll prolly try it anyway ;) but just asking to check to see if the "ECC" feature can just be bypassed in a normal board that has ECC mem installed
