Is there a free GUI for MySQL that is just as easy to use as access. I really want a GUI that would allow me to cut and paste easily from Access or Excel. Im really looking for a free GUI.

I don't think you understand, MySQL is a database engine like MS Jet, but there is no MS Jet GUI or anything, MS Jet is just a tool applications can use when they need database functions. MySQL can be useful for web pages that require customer and product databases, etc... It's a database engine and not a database program.

In that case your best bet would be to try the OpenOffice.org 2.0 preview build which has a database program (scroll down on this article to see screenshots).

I believe phpMyAdmin supports importing CVS data. It exports it, at least...

Can't you connect to a mysql database with access using an odbc data source? It would seem pretty stupid if you can't.

I understand exactly what MySQL is and if I wanted to I can write my own GUI (but it would be way too simple and I wont be able to implement certain functions I want). There are GUI's out there, just not any good ones (from the ones I used).

I want something to help me administer the database much like Enterprise Manager for SQL Server helps you manage the DB's. I especially need importing from access, which is a breeze to do in SQL Server.
I can write my own queries to retrieve records from access and insert them into a MySQL DB, but I want something graphical.
