Does anyone know of a good free antivirus software? Are they just as good as Norton and the like? Norton seems like it's bloated with so much crap nowadays.

The only thing about Grisoft is that it has some memory resident things which you can't disable through the app. You just have to kill the processes. I just want manual scans.

Yeah, even if you quit the AVG CP, the TSR still resides :/

Anyways, I use these two free web based scanners:

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan.htm

Both require Internet Explorer.
