More participants and hardware needed.

The MameWorld Team is way ahead of us and while we continue to slowly close the gap between us in the team standings they continue to inch away in work units completed.

We are here:(Cut and paste link)

And they are here:

We need more computer time and hardware to win this battle for the stars.

Yes you are dancing - your new dual CPU dual core system is earning more credit by itself than all others on our team combined LOL!!!

And we do need more members. I wonder why Electabots left our team. He's not on any team at all now (not that there was much credit to offer). But we could use the extra credit!

There are a lot of inactive members - anyone want to reactivate SETI? Many have not sent in a work unit since before BOINC was introduced.

I expect to upgrade 1 of my PCs hopefully by no later than March which should help a fair bit.

It surprised the heck out of me the way it works, it is quite good for XMAME too. ;-)
It is just an Asus A8N-E 939 socket motherboard with 2 sticks of generic 512MB of RAM and the 4200+ X2 processor.
Boinc sees it as 2 CPU's and it is running a 32bit Pentium4 optimized command line client in parallel.

I guess what we really need to get more interest is a sticky posting or ad on the Retrogames front page to attract the people who have forgotten the lost souls in the Hardware forum. I doubt we will lure RocLobsta back tho.

Excellent!
We rock!

My personal fight is to get back into the top 1%, a position I once had in SETI "Classic".

UncleVom

Currently 310th Boincer in Canada

The further you go the slower it gets until you are sliding backwards.

That Celery of yours is rocking.

Don't tell me it's a 300a with a 1000mhz bus in a picnic cooler of liquid nitrogen. ;-)

LOL not quite! It's just a 533 MHz bus although I'll admit that there are 4 case fans because of the old AMD CPU. It's not overclocked but ASUS has a utility that came with the new board for overclocking that I might try later. Yes it is performing extremely well - a celery diet is always good you know. :) The plan is to get a Pentium D when finances permit. Then we throw out the celery & eat nothing but MEAT!

It is important to note that just after I upgraded, I also installed an optimized version of BOINC & SETI. My RAC is still climbing sky high - I have no idea when it will stop. :)

Also I want to pick up a new case so I can reactivate the old board & Athlon XP - then look out baby!!!

One thing - if you check out my 650 MHz server, it is outperforming my dual CPU media PC & almost ready to overtake my son's Athlon XP 1800+. What's up with that???

How do you find out your rank within a country? And is this for total credit or RAC?

IIRC http://www.boincstats.com
But I can't confirm it as I can't connect to their site.
