Yup I haven't used my gas furnace this season yet - & if anyone is wondering, Winnipeg has been experiencing above normal temperatures. I think the source of the extra heat can be traced to a house somewhere. ;)

Actually a lot has to do with 2 computer upgrades. My father-in-law's PC (which I gave him as a gift) died so he replaced with an Athlon X2, & I upgraded my media PC to a Core 2 Duo in hopes of improving TV recording performance (among other things obviously). It took a while to figure out how to get BOINC to work seamlessly under Vista but now that it's going, look out (especially with that X2).

Yeah I'm surprised how well it's doing. Now we need someone to get a quad. My board doesn't support it though otherwise I would've got it heh.

No you'll beat me to a million - I'll bet you'll hit it just after the new year. I would need about 5 Core 2 Quads now to beat you to it LOL.

A quad core too, it looks like bluejaywpg got his wish. :-)

I will be watching your progress as I'm very tempted to cross the floor to Chipzilla with my next computer build.

The last Intel CPU I actually purchased was a P166 back in the last millenium.

I've been thinking about upgrading my main computer to a quad but I'm trying to save my money to get a car to replace my old truck instead LOL.
