A happier New Year to all.
So far this year, one crunching computer (Athlon 1200) left home and my Abit KT7 (Athlon 900) motherboard finally did what all the others did and popped its capacitors and so it is retired.
My Abit KT7a (Athlon 1600+) remains happy since I replaced all the caps years ago, but I didn't feel it was worth the effort this time around.
It's not difficult or expensive just a hassle, last year I ended up replacing the power regulator caps on my ASUS A8N-E after a power supply failure that fried them, but with the X2 4200+ it was current enough to make it worthwhile.
So its looking like there is a hole on the shelving unit that needs filling...hmm...
