I jumped ship and put together an Intel Q6600 box last weekend.

Swapped various drives into different boxes so that the effects of the upgrade cascaded through the small herd.

I think I now have the right clients running on each box and my RAC should slowly creep up, helping in the drive "to new heights never seen before by this team"

The sad news is that the AMD K6-2 is once again retired due to AGP problems, but hopefully that crunching powerhouse will return once I hack the AGP or stumble upon a PCI card in the catacombs or sort out how to run it headless.

I saw that our team credit jumped a bundle & thought maybe was from the 'Zona Cat until I finally looked closely & saw that you went with the establishment times 4 so to speak.

Oh no so much for the "new heights". Well by about 10 or so I guess. :)

Speaking of Quads, my co-worker finally installed SETI after constant reminders from me. However he has not yet signed up for an account. So I guess the bugging will continue. I'll just keep on leaving him an IM on Yahoo & telling him at work. He wants to do it - he just forgets. :)

I told him also to join our team & increase the maximum CPUs to at least 4. (Reminder to all future Quad owners...) :)
