At some point last night the team slid past the 4,000,000 credit mark.

Out of 52,739 teams we are 438th, not too shabby.

In part due to renovations that we are doing (expanding the kitchen), I haven't looked at our progress for a while. & all I can say is WOW! Now we're up to #420!

2 Core2 Quads optimized to the hilt & running a nice & efficient OS. Careful - with that much crunching, you might set a forest fire in the forest city. ;)

For this summer's vacation, we're travelling out to the east coast & while staying in Toronto, we may end up in London on a day trip because my wife has always wanted to see London. Not sure why - we don't know of anyone there personally. I just hope she isn't expecting to see Big Ben or Buckingham Palace or something. :)

Renovations suck, I've been working on the Kitchen and Bathroom for 5 years, In fact my whole house is a continual renovation/restoration project. The joys of being one's own slum lord in a Victorian hovel.

They are running pretty well, I can't wait for the folks over at lunatics.kwsn.net to get the Linux version of the Alex Kan v8 client out for general consumption. With the Windows client on the AMD 4200+ X2 I'm seeing anywhere from 25% to 40% improvement over the previous optimized client depending on the work unit. They have just released a version for SSE2 processors as well.

I enjoy visiting the East coast, I was in New Brunswick last summer for a few days and had a great time.

London is not too bad a place to visit during the summer months there are various festivals, plan on muggy heat and humidity. Sadly I have to confirm there is no Buckingham Palace, but you might see a queen or two.

Actually in all honesty I'll tell you how bad London is, two of my brother's kids moved to Winnipeg!! ;-)

Tell me about it. I'm already tired of living out of boxes (for food). And the bathroom, 1st floor ceiling, & more will come soon. But the biggest expense will be when we replace the wood siding with maintenance-free siding. I imagine we'll update the windows while we're at it too. I just hope it ends up being a cheaper job than buying a whole new house LOL.

Much the same as Toronto for humidity I guess. Some days you sweat by doing physical stuff - like breathing LOL.

I always thought of Winnipeg as a forest city - Winnipeg has a forest within its boundaries (Assiniboine Forest) & plenty of elm trees. So I'm curious as to how the 2 cities compare tree-wise.

No way really??? Or did they work for Great West Life & simply get transferred to the head office in Winnipeg? :)

Really.
Winnipeg is quite a cultural hub I hear.
One is a graphics designer and the other a sculptor.

I imagine Winnipeg wins the battle of the trees, while there are still trees in London "The Forest City" has expanded and in the process failed to maintain a balance of vegetation vs. big box stores and new subdivisions.

Now back on-topic before the moderator gets me ;-)
My Seti cruncher 3528722 is going to reach 1,000,000 credits on June 8th or thereabouts. That one started life with the AMD64 X2 4200+ on July 7th, 2007 and has since been upgraded to the Q6600.

That is true. Winnipeg's biggest tourist draw happens to be Folklorama. This past weekend I went to our company's annual picnic. We brought a soccer ball to pass a bit of the time & a few kids wanted to play with us. These kids were white, Filipino, & east Indian (or another nearby country). And when us adults played earlier, some of those not born in Winnipeg were from places like Bulgaria, Paraguay, England, Italy, & China, not to mention that there was a french guy & possibly a Portuguese guy too, among others. Maybe next year if 1 of us crunches real extra-terrestrial data, we'll include a few Andromedans or something!

Well the subdivisions here all have trees but they are as new as the houses (but not as big as the houses - read little - as you can logically expect).

I'd have to get myself first - I started this off-topic thing LOL.

Sure didn't take long for it to reach its 1st million!

The Seti team is now 358th and getting ready to emerge from its summertime slump.

The Milkyway team is 117th and rather short of members.

Sometimes I feel like Muhammed Saeed al-Sahaf. ;-)
