SEGA'S TRADEMARK FILINGS REVEAL TWO NEW TITLES

Sega Rally renewed as well as two new names we've not yet heard. Mystic Ocean anyone?

Trademark filings often attract heated discussion, with many folk going wild with ideas based only on a name and a company's previous reputation.

Sega's fans are often a very creative bunch, with the last round of filings resulting in much fanboy banter.

Anyways, we've now got some new names for you to pick apart and analyse based on Sega's latest hot trademark action, they are:

Sega Formula Racer and Mystic Ocean.

As well as the much loved Sega Rally.

We'll guess Sega Formula Racer is not a race against time in a science lab, but another Sega-branded arcade racer. As for Mystic Ocean, we have absolutely no idea...

Magicians and pirates on sea? A weirdly-named sequel to Tenacious D's favourite 'Wonderboy'?

Sega offered no comment, but our moles have offered some speculative thoughts on Sega Formula Racer being an arcade racer and Mystic Ocean possibly being a Japan-only Shining Tears-style RPG. Of course, this was complete speculation on their part and nothing more. A shame. But interesting nonetheless.

A sequel to Virtua Formula perhaps?? :-o
