are there any news on the developing of an emu to this board? I LOVED playing "sega rally 2" but the arcade near me that has it is EXTREMELY expensive...i don't want to sell my soul to satan to enjoy this game, so i really look forward to play it at home...

great site btw!!!!!!!

i'm working on a model 3 emu but i'm pretty new to emulation programming world so don't expect much from me
and even if i succeed on make a working core i don't have info on the video cpu except for the name(real3d by Lockheed-Martin,i have seen you have missed it sixtoe :P)
and i'm not good on reverse enginering.i've studied the powerpc and it's much different(almost totally) from x86 so
it will be hard to make it fast!

Its made by Real3D and Intel, and is totally custom, you have about as much chance of finding this out without reverse engineering as you have of getting the thing above 5fps in the test menu ;)

hehe,

you are wrong !If i remember well it's developed by real3d and sega and the name is real3d 100 and what are you saying it's the intel i740(video board for pc) based on this custom chip.however it will be enough for me getting the emu run so 5 fps at test mode screen will be very very much!

Intel bought Real3D from Lockheed in the mid 90's shortly after the Model2 board came out, so Real3D were Intel by that time. The i740 is a derivitive of the chip in the Model3, but they are NOT the same, the i740 isnt anywhere near as powerfull, not by a long chalk,

Good luck, you`ll need it,

Hey,believe me,the i740 CAN'T be as powerful as the model3 3d chip.I'm a poor i740 user and I can assure you that sucks.:)
