Space Harrier keeps getting a runDLL error with this emu. It says "space harrier has caused a fatal error in system16.exe, sysyem16.exe will now close"...anybody else getting this error??? It runs on version .79, but no sound..can I fix the previous issue with different settings on the emu or my PC??

You do realize that System16 and all ports, including the DirectX port, are no longer supported by the authors?

That said, maybe someone here has seen this before. Just not me. :-/

Redundancy is golden...and that was not an answer to my question...if people happen to even remotely have an answer, then the post is worth it since nobody seems to use this message board anymore...anyway! KINDNESS KILLS

I have confirmed this issue at home with other games as well. I'll try to see if I can fix it. If not, I'll try and see if I can manipulate anyone else into fixing it. I don't promise anything. :)

To be honest not a chance, no-ones going to waste their time when the MAME driver is being worked on and is pretty much perfect,

You're right there. It is, however, a shame that the DirectX port would have such an ugly bug, while the DOS port does not. Perhaps someday some motivated person could take a look at it. (read as: not me!) The source was released, although I cannot remember which version of the DirectX port it was released for (0.79? 0.80?). I logged all the games which have the trouble, though. I believe it's fairly well known, too, although I cannot tell immediately what the problem is. I wonder if "Bartman" still has the source, although he claimed in '99 he didn't. I have his current email address... or has this been tried before? Anyhow, his current "homepage" is here: www.the-leaders-of-the-eighties.de/members/member.php3?Member=1
And the backup is always here: move.to/abyss
However, I'm sure he meant that it is gone for good. :-/
