Hi

I have just recently got an ST-V board in great condition with Radiant Silvergun (which is a fantastic game, first time I've ever played it!).

I wanted a Japanese board, but wa sent an english board instead. So in RS it only allows you to use 2 buttons which is shite.

So could someone tell me where I can get an image of a japanese bios and also what type of chip it needs to be written on.

Or could someone tell me how to make a dual bios for it. Also the english bios that is installed on the board looks to be an erasable chip (it has a little window on it), should I place a sticker over the window to prevent the data from being erased?

Thanks for any help

Hello...

The original Bios in the STV is a not eraseable "Maskrom".
So you can be lucky to have an eprom with maskrom compatible pinout on your board. What type (numbers) is it.??
Organisation is 256k x 16 (4 megabits)

I donīt know if i am allowed to send you a download link for a japanese bios, but you can also find it yourself by using any search engine with "Sega STV bios" .

regards
Andreas
