I know, it's absolute of topic, but it is the only place to have good answers from the best gathering on the net!
...
I own a SEGA gt 24 Rom board and I would like to make it running on another M2 B CRX system (DOA)...
Just curious about some stuffs:
- Can i dream to play it on my VR Twin cabinet???
- Model 1 and 2x seem to have the same I/O board???
- ...I believe the same thing for MODEL 1 & 2 (VR - dayto) sound board???
- ...I hope the same for the LAN board (optical fiber link board)??? (2 white connectors on M2...1 in M1...hum ???)

big thank...

You can put the GT24hr roms on the board, should work fine.

Hmm, not sure, if it has the same control harness, sure, should work...maybe...

Not sure, really dont know, I dont think they're the same, model 1 was very much a prototype system so certain things might have changed...

You can convert a DOA to a GT24hr, but there are some notes:

1) You will need a filterboard that has the analogue inputs wired up (the DOA filterboard is just for digital inputs)

2) You can't play on your VR cabinet, totally different wiring, how the pot pedals and wheel can be made to work, you'd need to re-wire though.

3) No Model 2B CRX don't use external sound boards, only Model 1,2 and 2A CRX use the sound boards and for 2A CRX it is only the case for the Deluxe versions of Sega Rally and Manx TT where they use these for extra SFX.

4) Yes the optical fibre link cables are the same, like I said the filter board you have for DOA will not have the firbe connection points.

If you would consider selling it, you may reach me on
