Picked up a weird board - Taito Tetris (Sega license) which is different from the version emulated in Raine/MAME:
- Has YM2203C instead of YM2612 (and worse sound as a result!) - No TC0140SYT chip (MAME Taito-B driver says other boards have this) - 68K ROMs labeled C35. - Two 40-pin Taito branded mask ROMs labled B72.
The board number for the currently emulated version (tetrist) is C12. I don't know if Taito game numbering goes by the character ROM number or program ROM number - B72 is already used by Master of Weapon, and C35 is unused.
The MAME version only has Z80 and 68K ROMs, saying the graphics are generated in RAM. This one appears to have two ROMs for graphics, though I haven't confirmed this yet (need the 234000 and 27C101 ROM pinouts before I can dump anything :\)
Anyway, is this a common variant, or rare? The game plays identically to the 'tetrist' version, as far as I can tell.
