If your cabinet is JAMMA, then the converter (the thing in between the Golden Axe PCB and you cabinet-wiring) is probably faulty/wrong..

Information on JAMMA can be found here on System16. Info on the Golden Axe pinout can be found just about anywhere on the Internet.

If you are not that keen on soldering, there is also the option to buy a converter PCB to convert the PCB's signals to Jamma.
