Some top level Japanese players have been making movies of their best plays for driving games like Daytona USA 1 & 2, Outrun 2 etc. They accomplished this by using a VGA to TV scan converter and S-VHS/Digicam/Computer recorders. However they mentioned that the CHIHIRO board has a video output which cannot be recognised by a normal scan converter unless it has been modified. Unfortunately they are unable to disclose exactly what these modifications are due to requests from Sega.

Does anyone know anything about the CHIHIRO video output and what the specs are? VGA or 480p Progressive Scan (is the latter possible on an arcade monitor)? If the signal is VGA, then do you know why a normal scan converter will not work and what modification is required?
