A moment

Night sky full of stars
Pinholes in a black blanket over us
With the wind whistling through the trees
It seems for a moment
Peaceful

Then the moment leaves
Now faced with reality
A grim reality
Sometimes I wonder
Could a moment last forever?

An enternal moment
Never have to face tomorrow
Or deal with the past
Everything you need
Is in that moment

But the moment passes
One you wished would last forever
Is now just a memory
And like the moment before it
The memory will fade away

Fade away into dust
Riding the stream of time
Constantly moving
Never stopping
Even for a moment
