------------------------ Eagle Mame - Based on 35b10 Core for ALL games :) routines based on those by Dirk Stevens but rewritten entirely in C to resolve some compatability issues both with the Mame graphics structure and Cyrix processors. 8 Bit games will use the 8-bit routines which are reasonably fast 16 Bit games will use the 16-bit routines which are pretty damn slow use -depth 8 on the 16-bit games to force them to 8-bit colour, good idea. Games with starfields and other isolated pixels look poor, I have some new 16-bit eagle routines to fix this problem, I'll add them later tho. Eagling replaces Doubling / Scanlines Make sure vesa is enabled * Known Issuses * (1) If memory runs out the eagle routines will Sigsev Error the computer, this is known, and I've almost got it fixed, again if this happens to a 16-bit game try runnning with the parameter -depth 8 or -soundcard 0 to disable sound. (2) I've used the ASM 68K core, some games like Rodland don't run :( then again if I'd used the C core Techmo World Soccer 96 wouldn't Run :) and it would have been slow as a dead snail on 68k games ;) (3) I'm Insane :) ---------------IMPORTANT PLEASE READ------------------ Support for this version will be provided by me and me only, do not bother the official Mame Team with questions about it. Eagle_Haze@Haywood.force9.co.uk is where to send mail. Do not ask stupid questions, use your brain :) Examples of Stupid Question - Mortal Kombat runs slow in Eagle Mode HELP How do I play pacman? etc. etc. Thanx To the all the people who have worked endless hours creating Mame, making it the great Emulator that it is today, for without their work this would not be possible, neither would playing the original space invaders on your PC :) The staff at Retrogames, Atila, and Prophet who has now sadly left :( for their support on all the things I've done Dave W of Dave's Classics, for creating, in it's day, the most complete emulation site on the net, and for having a site where if you type badly you get porn sites instead ;) Good Luck. Deimos, for general encouragement Dirk Stevens for the original Eagle routines and the original MamEagle and anyone else whom I may have forgotten to mention here ->Haze<-
