TRwin Readme Beta 2.30 WIP UI Use like Explorer Right click to set rom properties, like UCode and BootCode Double click to launch. Arrow keys and ENTER work as well. Some common roms are already setup. Mempack support Primitive support for now. Two files, "mempack.dat" and "blank.dat" located in program directory "blank.dat" is a blank mempack, "mempack.dat" is the mempack for the controller and is loaded and saved upon each execution of any rom in the emulator. Expanded support will come soon... please be sure and leave a msg in the message board as to how you would like to see this handled in the future. EEPROM support Primitive as well. :) TRWin will look in the same directory as the currently emulated rom and check for a file with the same name but ending with the extension .EEP, for example, if one double clicks on the file "c:\trwin\roms\waverace.v64", TRWin will look for a file "c:\trwin\roms\waverace.eep", if i finds this file, it will load it as the EEPROM. Expanded support will come soon... please be sure and leave a msg in the message board as to how you would like to see this handled in the future. Files can be found at http://www.dextrose.com/dx_section_c2t.htm Main Menu | Options 3dfx Chipset : check this if you use a graphics card based on the 3dfx chipsets Ignore Secondary : check this if you have a secondary graphics card, but wish to use your primary for full screen Disable Sound : if you have trouble with sound, or an old sound card, check this Configure Controllers : comming real soon - support for gamepads, joysticks, multiple controllers etc. Palette Shift: Needed for Battle Tanks, Snowboard Kids and TopGear. of course, there may be others. If the palette looks shitty, try this option. Alt COP1: Unchecked for WaveraceSE, Ultra and others. Must be checked for Banjo,Zelda and maybe others. If you see flashing and Disappearing polys (polygone... hehe) then turn it on, otherwise it can be left off. Default Keyboard mapping: Start = S Z = Right Shift B = X A = A Analog - Up = Arrow Up Analog - Down = Arrow Down Analog - Left = Arrow Left Analog - Right = Arrow Right D Pad - Up = Home D Pad - Down = End D Pad - Left = Delete D Pad - Right = PageDown Pan Left = G Pan Right = F C Button - Up = I C Button - Down = K C Button - Left = J C Button - Right= L Note - press ENTER or ESC to end emulation of rom. Tips: -If a game won't run properly, try checking Options->Alt COP1 -You can't configure the keyboard and/or joystick yet. If you have a joystick then it is used as controller 1 and the keyboard is controller 2. If you don't like the joystick as controller 1, unplug it!! Someone needs to write a DirectInput module (plugin or not) for the controller inputs. Plugin support will be available in a later release. -Before loading a rom you need to set the correct Ucode. This should be automated soon. 0=Mario64, Offroad, Chopper Attack, and most demos 1=Waverace and most others 2=San Fran Rush 3=MK4 and others -if you are getting the error "Failed to create d3d device" or something similar try setting your display to 16 bit color. This should fix a problem 3dfx Banshee and G200 users are having. -if you get illegal operation msgs after the first title screen try running in fullscreen and disabling sound -Make sure all ROMs have a .v64 extension -If you want EEPROM support to work *make sure you use the EXACT same name *make sure that you only have one copy of the ROM Please enjoy this release!
