Scorched3D 37.2 - Scorched3D is a cross-platform 3D remake of the popular 2D artillery game Scorched Earth. Changes: Single player mode has been enhanced with improved documentation, a save game option, better camera modes, and cleverer bots. Online play has been improved with stats ranking messages and more responsive servers.
Catweasel Floppy Read/Write Tools 3.3 - The Catweasel Floppy Read/Write Tools are software for the Catweasel MK1 ISA and Catweasel MK3 PCI universal floppy disk controllers. Changes: The reading strategy on Catweasel MK3 boards was changed in a way that should kill wraparound problems for good. Several convenience features were added and a few small bugs were fixed.
Aklabeth 1.0 - Aklabeth is a rewrite of Richard C Garriott's Ultima Prequel. Like Ultima 1 to 5, it features a mixture of wandering through (sort of) 3D dungeons, monsters, and tasks to complete.

CHANKAST (DC emu) Released! - So, there's finally a working Sega Dreamcast emu that runs several games at playable speeds, called CHANKAST. I've not checked it myself yet, but according to a this thread at our forums and people on IRC, it seems to be legit and very cool.

Model 3 WIP - Ville posted some remarkable screenshots of Star Wars Trilogy running in Supermodel (Sega Model 3 emulator)! According to the author the game is "fully playable." (Thanks Hawq for the news thread)
Cygwin 1.5.10 - Cygwin is a DLL which provides a Unix emulation environment for Windows. The Cygwin environment provides a complete port of such development utilities as gcc, binutils, gdb, make, etc., as well as a vast number of useful utilities. XRoar 0.9 - XRoar is an emulator for the Dragon 32, Dragon 64, and Tandy Coco2 computers all originally released in the early '80s. The emulator runs under Unix-like OSes (using SDL for video and OSS for audio) and the GP32 handheld gaming device. Changes: This release adds more timing fixes and CoCo ROM and keymap support. A basic menu system has been added to the GP32 version.

xgame 2.0.1 - Xgame launches your game in a separate X session. This allows gamers to switch between their desktop and their game with ease. You can also run X based games from the console without installing a window manager. Changes: A compatibility issue with gtk2-perl (version 1.040 and higher) was fixed.

AdvanceMAME v0.82.0 - AdvanceMAME is a port of the MAME and MESS emulators for Arcade Monitors and TVs but also for normal PC Monitors. Changes:
Added a new "Startup End" key (minus on numeric pad) to store in the configuration file the startuptime required for the current game. Simply press it when the game start.
The `sync_startuptime' now has an `auto' value which use an internal table to select the correct startup time.
The sound normalization is now computed using the normalized power of the audio and not the maximum value.
Added a new option `misc_freeplay' to enable the freeplay mode changing the game dipswitches.
Added a new option `misc_mutedemo' to mute the sound on game demo.
Improved the audio/video syncronization. It should fixes the problems on system which are not able to return the correct number of samples in the audio board buffer.
The `sync_resample' default value is now set to use internal resampling.
Fixed the loading of .rc files from the /etc directory.
Improved the loading speed of the history/mameinfo databases in Linux using the unlocked file API.
The history/mameinfo text is now wrapped to fit the whole screen.
Added a new `device_alsa_mixer' option to control the sound mixing. The default is to use an internal mixer to change the volume.
Documented in the `advdev.txt' file how use the ALSA `dmix' plug for a software mixing from multiple programs.
Mamu_'s Icons - Mamu_ has just informed me that he has made a new set of icons for MAME 0.82.

mame 0.82u1 - Haze has unleashed a new development update for MAME 0.82.
cc65 2.10.1 - cc65 is an almost ISO C compatible C compiler which produces binaries for 6502-based computers. Targets that are supported out of the box are: Apple ][, Atari 8Bit machines, Commodore C64/C128/C16/C116, Commodore Plus/4, Commodore 600/700, and GEOS for C64. The package includes a complete suite of assembler developement tools (assembler, linker, archiver) which allows mixing of C and assembler code.
KnoppiXMAME 1.3 beta 19 - KnoppixMAME is a bootable arcade machine emulator with hardware detection and autoconfiguration. Changes: This is a preview of what 1.3 will be like, minus the features of NTFS write access and arcade monitor support. VIA AC97 sound is fixed, and the NVidia binary driver is now supplied.
CrossOver Office 3.0.0 - CrossOver Office allows you to install your favorite Windows productivity applications in Linux, without needing a Microsoft Operating System license. Changes: Support has been added for Lotus Notes 6.51, Microsoft Project 2000, and Microsoft Outlook XP.
Point2Play 1.2.2 - TransGaming Technologies is also making a new version of Point2Play available, 1.2.2. This update fixes some issues users may have been having with the new subfs file system as well as introduces a trio of new features. WineX 3.3.2 - Transgaming is excited to announce their newest WineX, Version 3.3.2. Not only does this latest release fix issues with copy protection in Battlefield 1942 but introduces, for the first time, support for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. added a "cycle" option for game shots to make it cycle through the title shot, screen shot, marquee, and cabinet pictures.

removed the automatic adding of a .zip name for other emulators (see install.txt)

Hercules Snapshot 2004-05-07 - Hercules, the IBM mainframe emulator, has once again recieved a compile of it's current CVS code for Windows.
FPSEce 0.09.2 - FPSEce, the port of the Playstation emulator FPSE to WindowsCE has been updated in ppc2002 armv4,ppc2003 armv4, and ppc2003 armv5 formats.
FCE Ultra 0.98.9 - FCEUtlra, the NES emulator for Windows, has been updated fixing the bug with the "Image Size Transform" box in the "Video" coniguration window.
MAME Derivatives RunDown - with the release of the Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator 0.81, several MAME derivatives have been updated:
The MAME build for Windows with a built-in GUI, MAME32 has been updated to 0.82.
The MAME32 build with extra options, MAME32 Plus! has been updated to 0.82.
Another MAME32 build with extra features, MAME32FX, has been updated to 0.82 as well.
PetitMAME, a japanese build of MAME, has been updated to 0.82.1
Also, MAGE, a MAME derivitive adding in the games that are not allowed in MAME (gambling and discrete circuitry games), has been updated to 0.12u3.
PS2emu Alpha 01 - PS2emu, the WIP Playstation 2 emulator for Windows, has had a release to show the progress of the emulator. This is just a progress release, so no commercial games are playable. DYNAMIC RECOMPILERS are less than 10% complete, but the performance is faster than usual because the implementation of a new recompiling technique developed specifically for this project that will allow superior performance to a normal dynamic recompiler.
MAME32 Plus! 0.81u9 - MAME32 Plus!, a Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator derivitave for Windows, has been updated. Here's what's new:

GBAX 2004 Ends - Today the GBAX 2004 coding competition came to an end, and many remarkable programs for GP32, GBA and newcomer Zodiac were posted for all to see and enjoy! Among them was FinalBurn Dave's incredible full speed Genesis emulator for GP32 called GigaDrive (albeit w/o sound for now) which features his Cyclone ARM ASM 68000 core, some excellent looking action and SHMUP games for GP32 & GBA, and Zot!, a game design engine for Zodiac and GP32 from my Canadian friend Skeezix at CodeJedi. If you own one of the mentioned handhelds, start downloading and enjoy!
