ZSNES by zsKnight, _Demo_ and Pharos
The currently best and most advanced DOS emulator, best compatibility and still in development ! A good Windows port is available too ! ZSNES runs most of the "special chip" games (SuperFX, DSP1, C4 and SA-1) like Mario Kart, Mario RPG and MegaMan X2 for example. Support for the SNES mouse, the Super Scope and Multi Tap is included too. ZSNES supports Game Genie, Pro Action Replay and GoldFinger codes, save states, screenshot fuction, sound dumps and finally netplay !

SNES9x by Gary Henderson
An excellent multi platform emulator with many available ports, great compatibility and frequent updates. Special chips like SA-1, C4, DSP-1 and Super FX, the SNES mouse and the SuperScope (the light gun) are supported as well as Multi-Tap, Game-Genie and Action Replay cheat codes and Save states/screenshot !

A great DOS emulator, supports SuperFX, DSP1, SNES Mouse, SuperScope AND is the only emulator that's able to run Umihara Kawase and a few other games (thanks Spinner 8) ! SNEmul is dead or at least on hold since 02/08/1999.
